May Try to Read Don Quixote Again…
The story about the old guy, his horse (?), and some windmills.
Ok, I know that’s not what it’s really about.
I’ve actually tried to read it once already, but it was a little too meaty for me at the time.
It may still be. But I find myself intrigued by it.
My understanding of it is surface level; an old man who has delusions of being a knight. Something along those lines.
I’ve also seen some musical/cinematic adaptations of it, but that was a while ago.
I’m interested in Cervantes, what he’s trying to convey through the story and how it stands against the climate of today.
This seems to be the main question: are things ever truly as they seem?
I hope I get to chew on that one.
